The journey is what makes you the person you are becoming in Christ…

The Christian life is not a destination to be reached but a journey to be travelled and that journey offers mountain top views to be wondered at, hard dry places to be moulded by and lush valleys to be fed in.

Our journey has involved all three. There have been moments when the perspectives the Lord has shown have been breathtaking and highly motivating; there have been great occasions of peace and pasture when we have enjoyed the immediate, been fed and satisfied; then of course there have been hard times when your character is transformed and the life of the Spirit at work in you is a great challenge.

Being led by the Spirit means you submit to a greater plan… such is our dream as we seek to serve the Lord here in the Balkans and beyond. We have sought to be people who follow the leading of the Holy Spirit to be where we are called to be and do what we are called to do. 

Fromj2i is primarily a discipleship ministry… There are many roads to travel and we are told that narrow is the way that leads to life. Jesus commanded all disciples to go and make disciples, this is not the work of professionals it is the work of those who know him … Many challenges face the Kingdom traveller and our road has not been without its challenges, yet we continue the journey and continually seek to find his Way.

This region has known the impact of many kingdoms and empires… The Medes; Persians, Spartans and that of Alexander the Great, the Roman Empire, Illyricum, Byzantium and even the British. Each empire was advanced by those who carried vision, adventure and a pioneering spirit.

This region has also experienced the influence of religion (with great impact) - Judaism, Christianity and Islam. There is still clear evidence of these religions at work.

From j2i is committed to helping people on their journey, especially their faith journey, reaching people where they are and offering a helping hand on the road ahead. It requires that all step out of the security of the harbour and begin to set sail on the journey of a lifetime. We are here to enable all those who want to take part in that journey.
